Artist’s Statement

My artistic practice explores our perception of the material qualities of physical and digital artwork. Fascinated by our contemporary relationship to the image, I explore the fusion of boundaries between physical and digital spaces through visual and auditory cues, interactive displays, textiles, and painting.

When quality is altered through the distortion of the original image, our intrinsic need for intimacy is heightened, enabling us to participate in the act of close-looking. I present our interconnection with logical structures through these two gridded paintings and encourage a deep assessment of systems present in our day-to-day lives.
